1. Create a building
From the BirdStrike.app home page, choose Create a building map. An account is not required during testing. Add a building name, location, and type, then choose Save details. These details are saved only in the current browser and will be restored when you return on the same device.
The map builder contains the toolbar, canvas, status bar, selected object editor, and object list. It also includes a collapsed Quick Start Guide under Open the User Help Center for a fast in-app walkthrough.
2. Add a building map
Open Map Setup and choose Upload Map Screenshot to use a Google Maps screenshot or another building image.

3. Choose units
In Map Setup, set Units to feet or meters. Units affect scale readouts, calibration, and share links.
4. Calibrate scale
Choose Calibrate Scale, click two points with a known real-world distance, enter the distance, and apply it. Good calibration makes all measurements more meaningful.
5. Mark bird strike locations
Use Select mode to click on the map and add markers for bird strike locations. You can edit each marker's details in the popup or side panel.
6. Review and share
Review the map and object list. Click Share Configuration in the toolbar ribbon to copy a URL that preserves the map and settings.
